THE VIEW #1 – Mobland: Season Two
Season One of MobLand was one of the best TV shows of 2025. Season Two is equally good—and even more intense, if that’s possible. This gripping crime drama—set in London—revolves around the Harrigan family, led by the unscrupulous Conrad and Maeve (Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren). These two should have been locked away—or committed—years ago, but have managed to survive largely because of their loyal, streetwise “fixer,” Harry Da Souza (Tom Hardy). In the new season, the Harrigans face increasingly dangerous rivals while struggling to present a united front within their own fractured criminal empire. Their son Kevin (Paddy Considine) begins taking more of the family business upon himself, further shifting the balance of power. Meanwhile, Harry—who spends most of his waking hours driving from one crisis to another in order to “fix” things—is confronting serious trouble within his own family. His daughter has left, as has his wife, played by Emmy winner Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey). With loyalties crumbling, violence escalating, and safety never guaranteed, Harry has more fires to put out than ever. THE VIEW #2 – A Killer Story
From TV crime drama to real-life drama and a new three-part HBO documentary called A Killer Story. It centres on Dana Chandler, who was accused of killing her ex-husband and his girlfriend in 2002. The story begins with homemaker-turned-amateur investigator Eileen Umbehr and her husband, Keen. Unlike the authorities and everyone else involved in the case, they believe Chandler is innocent—and that the evidence against her is circumstantial at best and tainted by confirmation bias at worst. Knowing they need help, the couple inundate award-winning investigative journalist Joe Sexton of The New York Times and ProPublica with thousands of emails. He finally agrees to travel to Topeka, Kansas, and examine the double homicide. He will spend parts of the next six years covering three difficult trials and a legal maze involving family conflict, competing narratives, alleged prosecutorial misconduct and the troubling possibility that the complete truth may never be known.
